Yes I have looked through throttle hang posts, and even found some of my replies in the search. I had bad throttle hang so I cleaned the IAC. This worked but neded to be cleaned a few months later. I finally replaced it and the throttle hang went away. Now only 2 months later and the throttle hang is back (you can take your foot off the gast like cruise control it is so bad). After pushing the clutch in it stays around 3-4K for a bit then drops. It is only there when the car (and the weather) is warm. Is there something else wrong? I have looked to make sure all the vacuum hoses are connected and they all look fine. I also made sure the throttle cable is not binding either. Anything else to check for?

What Octane are you using ?

I was having throttle hang until I downgraded octane (94 - 92).

Look up your manual and figure out what the real octane level is with r+m/2 cause I think octane differs from area to area.

did you try doing the throttle hang fix??? you can find it on the www.contour.org FAQ on the main page.

ODC reconmends an octain change....i personaly have found no proof that that works for my self...now it could be becasue of CA gas.

But i have uesed 91 and 100 octain with no effect to the throttle hang.

TBut the throttle hang fix has been proven to work each time.

I am aware of the throttle hang fix, but I wanted to know what else could be wrong. It always seemed like the IAC was messed up, so I never did the throttle hang fix. Since it only has throttle hang on hot days it baffles me.
