When I got back to my car which was parked all day at the subway, it was so hot inside that my rear view mirror got unglued and fell off and the soft plastic on the inside of my doors was blistered!

Rearview mirrors fall off regularly...but I don't see how plastics can blister, unless you have a really bad defect. Even on an untinted car, there shouldn't be much warping on a vertical surface (yes, I'm aware of the dash warping issue on the Contour). The Focus sits outside all day when untinted, yet no warpage

I've had the mirrors fall off in both cars. Went to Canadian tire and bought the self repair kits. They have worked very well. I also took advantage of the situation and raised the mirror mounting point in order to reduce my blind spot. Worked like a charm.

This reminds me of my dash warp fix. I was just admiring how it survived the summer and still looks great . Thank God for 2 part epoxy .

It you go to Speedy Auto glass they'll reattach it for free. Had it happen on my Dad's K-Car, and my Audi 200.

2 part, 5 minute epoxy seems to have done the trick. The blistered interior door things look like 2 bumps about 2 inches in diameter on the passanger front door. I don't remember how many bumps are on the other doors. But I think it went down in the morning. I'll check. It's the soft plastics ... the padded stuff ... not the rock hard ones. I don't know if it's a serious defect. The car is 10 years old If it was a defect I'm guessing it would be seen earlier.

Mine has done the exact same thing on very hot days where the sun has been shining through the window.
I haven't done a thing to fix the issue as the problem goes away once a normal temperature has been restored.
Just an FYI
