I may be looking to get out of the SHO game for now. I want something a little newer with an aftermarket.

Debating on selling my 1994 MTX SHO...

Here is a partial list of what it has / has done to it in the year I have owned it. (there is more but this is just off of the top of my head). I have been extremly anal about maintaining the car. I do not believe in "if its not broke don't fix it"... I do the "fix it, replace it, reseal it before it brakes"

Speed Hut Guages (reverse indiglo - blue/green, upgraded invertor, silver background)
Sparco Pedals
Momo Shift knob - shortened stock shift rod
Gauge pod w/ digital oil pressure, voltage and Water Temp
Tint all the way around including an eyebrow on the windshield - Lifetime warranty - Ziebart
Removed Cats
Larger resonator
Aluminum subframe bushings
subframe connectors
Moog front sway bar end links
26 MM rear sway bar with Moog TPR bushings
SHO Shop front strut brace
Rear strut brace
SHONUT ball and socket shifter bushing
New starter
Walbro 155LPH fuel pump
Clear corners
Premier DEH-930 deck (relocated to be in the EATC spot)
Compustar remote start / alarm (2way)
New battery (just last month) Crappy tire eliminator
Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF (for the trans) - done last month
Religious Castrol GTX high Mileage 5W-30 changes with FL-1A filter (5.0 mustang - holds 6 L of oil in total)
A/C has been checked and it fine for operation and pressure
Alignment (just last week)
Fuzion ZRi tires - 225/55/16 - W-rated (still look brand new)
Blizzak winter tires - stock size (had for half of last winter - in storage now)
Rear brake pads are new, Fronts have 30-40% left.

The car has 170K on it.

Service work the car has had...

Replaced:

Plug well seals
valve cover gaskets
all intake gaskets
Motorcraft plugs and wires
CID
cam seals
o2 sensors
TPS - throttle posistion sensor
ACT - air charge temp
ECT - engine coolant temp
IAB - Idle air bypass
Thermostat
Recent cooling system flush
Timing belt and accessory belts

The inside of the engine (when we had the valve covers off) was very clean, at the time everything was in spec (shims) and the cams looked great. The car uses about 0.5 - 1 litre of oil inbetween oil changes (5000KM). I believe it is through the valve stem seals. The car rides very nice. It handles great and shifts smoothly.

This is just to see if I get the right offer. I have put a ton of time and money into the car and love it to death. I just want to have a car with an aftermarket that is newer and easier to find parts for.

Well I needed something economical, cheap, new, that is good on gas... Of course it had to be fun to drive, a bit of a sleeper and have some creature comforts too.

I ordered a 2005 Focus ST - it is the "performance model"...

It comes with SVT Focus brakes, struts but NON SVT springs. Ride is very tight but has a little roll on turns (I didn't notice too bad though). It has the new 2.3 Duratec with 151HP and 154TQ. It weighs in at about 2700 lbs. Has leather/suede seating, MP3 6 disk cd player, heated seats.

This is the color I am getting in the pics from my site.

Here is a review for the car: Clicky Clicky

The car is not as fast as the SHO, but for the cost of owning an SHO I could have a new car... So why not?

Was time for a change. Plus I needed something to save me some cash, it only uses regular gas and gets better fuel economy. Plus it is comfortable. I drive my cars alot! Last month my fuel bill for the SHO was over $500! This should help me out. Plus I will not have so much downtime like I can have with the SHO - only things not upgraded on the car is the trans (quaife/clutch - expensive and time consuming) plus I do not want to put to much money into a car that isn't worth that much.

Plus the car has a ton of aftermarket and reponds very well to mods. The intake is so choked up that a minimum gain of 10HP to the wheels is common with a CAI.

So yes I am going over to the darkside. But it is still a Ford. I think I can have some fun with the little car. 8 weeks to go. Now I just need someone to buy my SHO.

Now I just have to sell the SHO. Have started to advertise it and get calls on it already.

SHO should be sold tonight.

Now I am car-less until my new little toy gets in.

Will de driving around one of my work trucks - a 1998 F-250 light duty with the 4.6L V8. At least it gets pretty good fuel economy for a truck
