KANE.............I LOVE YOUR CAR!!!!!!!!! i remember i saw that when the original owner had it and i met Mike and him up at wendys. oh my god, that thing is beautiful. great job on keepin it clean. i love the interior, that i never did get a chance to see. did the pieces come painted or did you do that? well also about the internet, as he and you may already know, you can bring your laptop if you have one. and depending on how well you are taken care of by your company helps out alot. there are people even on our post who have the net in thier bunkers with them aside from the MWR............which would be pretty nice. it seems like your friend is goin to be lucky enough to join us for winter, one word...............COLD, and if you make it here for spring................HOT. my goodnes does it get hot. in the spring time we had to stay in tents when we first got here and the generator usually went down and during the day inside the tent was about 165, and outside 130-135. it gets extremely hot. i hope all goes well with yalls trip over here and im sorry to hear that you have to come. so far, the experience hasnt been to bad, just BORING . oh yea, im active NG. well let me know if you got any more questions. again, nice ride.

It's a flat cone sub built by Elemental Designs. It sounds real nice; great performance for under $150. That install has changed since those pics, though. After those pics, I pulled out the whole thing and replaced it with a rear strut tower brace. Then I got a bigger amp; Rockford Fosgate 200M; but that still isn't enough. I have an Xtant A3001 on order; that'll give the sub considerably more power; quantity and quality. I'm hoping to have a neat lil set up back there soon enough.

Actually, my strut tower brace was built by CRZYDRVR on the boards. He and I are the only ones with the ones he built. PM him, maybe he'll get up and make another one, or two...

Um, that was more than unnesessary, what the hell is up with the CEG lately? Asshats running rampant in the forums!

I'm looking for some reason for you to have made these remarks but I'm just not seeing them.

Let me set the record straight: this is a nice looking Contour. It is clean and simple looking on the outside. This is a good thing.

But then to find that it is a lowly 2.0 ATX underneath? That's what I mean about new lows.

Once upon a time, these boards had traffic about open track and autocross events. That was back when an SVT Contour was a middling-expensive and sought-after car.

The bar has unfortunately been steadily lowered until we reach this point - that a good portion of the CEG (just a portion - not all by any means) sees the Contour as a canvas for all things Civic. When I say Civic, I mean that as a metaphor for dumping money into a cheap sh!tbox pizza delivery wagon and hoping it will polish up into something more than a golden turd.

nice work! I thought it was an SVT until I saw the rear drum and the Zetec. For all you people griping about the drum paint, I dont want to see any of you painting your rotors, A painted drum looks a hell of a lot better than rust colored! Euro plate, the contour is based off the Mondeo, a European car. I bet some of you would look at a WRX STi with a euro plate on the front, or a BMW and say "thats hot!" I'm not a fan of windshield stickers, but at least he has some pride in the CEG, I had some nice fat contour.org's on the rear side windows for over a year. Theres nothing wrong with a big stereo, a monitor in the car really makes long trips liveable and the bronze rims work well with the t-red, and bronze is a nice euro/rally inspired color. (again, bet the same wheels on a WRX Sti would make you drool)

Great job turning a mediocre car into a real head turner, the satisfaction of people appreciating your hard work is alot more fulfilling than simply buying it that way. Sorry your stuck over in the sandbox, I hope you and everyone there gets to come home safe and soon.

Pics of the RSTB are somewhere on my Car Domain page. Seek and ye shall find; my computer is too slow to take the hours of clicking a maximum of 3 links. Sorry.

And Kurt: I couldn't disagree more.

way to totally trash his car jack@$$...this has nothing to do with Civics, if he wants a nice car let him have one. He doesn't need a 13 sec. timeslip as reinforcement for modding his car.

alright, please work on your clarification skills, for you need to set the record even more straight. basically your saying that any contour aside from the SVT Contour is a piece of sh!t unless its stock. hmmmm..........that makes sense .

whats the name of the site, have you looked at it lately, because i could of swore it said www.CONTOUR.org and not www.SVTCONTOUR.org.

see whats funny is i take as much pride in my 2.0L ZETEC as you do in your SVT, if not probably more . so you should try to rethink how your gonna say something because what you have said makes no sense and basically you stated that you dont care for a majority of the members contours here on this site. so like i said before, SORRY WE ALL WERENT BLESSED WITH SVTs, and SORRY I HAVE MONEY TO DO THINGS TO MY TOUR. maybe i dont want an SVT, i like the looks of it so much that ill turn my stock GL to have the beautiful body curves and features that the SVTs carry. maybe i want to make my tour different from the others out there. oh my god this is brilliant, did you think up of this all on your own.

so, if this were an SVT, oh my god, you might actually think it looked nice huh. your just a hypocrit man. like i said to the other haters. unless you have something usefull or interesting to state, please dont waste your time posting.
