What?

Anyways, Chris.. Is this something that ADC is working on, or do you need to meet a certain amount of interest before this can go underway? Like said before, I think an easy way to set that up would be how DELL has their website setup. Maybe start with the full kit @ $5000, and list every item below with a pull down that you can select which option you want, or that you don't want it at all, and you can see the price drop from the $5000 figure. Either way, I think you've got something good going with this idea.

My question is regards to the mild steel. How long is mild steel gonna last? Ive heard horrer stories about turbo headers cracking after a few thousand miles of driving.

That's what I was saying.
Through commercial financing I can offer my customers, one year free financing.

Well fargo cuts me a check as soon as I deliver the products so I'm not out any money!!

The entire agreement is between WF and my customer, I don't have to worry about them not paying because it's WF problem once my products have shipped.

Costs me about 2% though.
So it will cost you guys $100 on a full $5000 purchase.
Wouldn't it be nice to say here have my turbo kit and don't worry about paying for an enitre year.
Not your problem if they go default.
I bet you'd sell a ton of these.
Thier are kids waiting in line to srew up thier credit and spend it somewhere why not your shop!!

If you take a car apart and sell it as pieces it will cost more than the car assembled. The same would be true for the kit. As for financing, there is always Visa and Mastercard.

The stories are probably exagerated. Stainless steel headers are in danger of cracking due to the higher coeficient of expansion hence the many returned sets of headers. Mild steel expansion and contraction is easily controlled with slotting around bolt holes and bracing. The liability of mild steel is rust and high temperature breakdown. Stainless steel solves both of those problems but at the expense of expansion and cracking.
Still, all the pipes I had used mild steel and 6-7,000 miles didn't seem to do anything to them. Of course I planned ahead for some of that. If you live out west or southwest I wouldn't worry about mild steel. If you live in the east the road and salt in winter and heavy rainy seasons are going to rust the hell out of the pipes. A good coating inside and out would be a good idea, sort of what MSDS does. This will probably make them last several years or even the life of the car depending upon driving habits.
Keep everything as cool as possible though.
For $3750 for everything but the intercooler you guys are going to be doing pretty good! You can always get replacement piping if something starts to go bad in 3-5 years and it wouldn't cost all that much. For the most part you could consider it the maintenance cost of having such a powerfull car.

Mild steel is actually less prone to cracking than the stainless that a lot of places use. (IIRC, ADC uses 321 stainless which is the best kind for headers, and even less prone to cracking than mild steel)

THe big issue to watch out for with mild steel is corrosion. And this can be handled by a good ceramic coating like warmonger mentioned.
