I have noticed that when I go about 80 or above my car starts shimmying and somewhat swaying from side to side. If I were to get a spoiler, would that help with the shaking?

Have your wheels balanced and rotated. That oughtta fix it; and your car won't look as stupid.

start by checking your alignment, suspension, and tires. i know that on some imperfect highways my csvt can do a little shimmy. at 80 i very much doubt that a lack of spoiler is causing your shimy. soon though others will post and either correct or confirm this

Definitely check wheel balance and allignment.

Also, a 4' jungle gym on the trunk would be a nice accent

Check your front and rear sway bars and mounts.

Actualy if its a true spoiler, its fully functional form about 75 mph and on....its main use is RWD cars, due to the fact that the rear wheels need the down force to stay planted to the road.

the main reason FWD cars would have it, is if for some reason they need the down force to keep the rear planted.

The only possible problem i could see is when the down force pushes down on a front wheeldrive car (street car not race car) and causes a slight lift in the fornt end....Causeing slightly lower tracting and vehical reaction times, because the car is no longer at its original seating.

But the overall message in my post is that they serve a fast larger racing community than just f-1 cars.
