It means using both channels to drive a single speaker. That amp will run all day long bridged to a single 4 Ohm sub. The instructions included with the amp will tell you exactly how to do it. Its a simple matter of wiring the sub to the amp differently.

Dont have Best Buy do it, unless they are installing everything already. Both installing and bridging is something you can do yourself very easily and save some money too.

Dont worry about having EXACTLY 200 watts, you can go over or under the subs rating to a point with no problems.

HITMAN, if you have any other questions, feel free to PM me. I dont see too much help happening on here. I am reasonably experienced and will answer all your questions the best I can.

all it is .....is basically getting the power output from both channels...for power into a singular channel....simply take one (+, -)from one channel and the opposite form the other channel....into the sub..one positive, one negative

Yup, definetly no hydraulic presses and crazy construction. Basically, you'll have a positive and a negative terminal for each channel. Take the positive lead wire and fasten it to one of the channels. Then take the negative lead and fasten it to another channel. In essence you'll have one blank connection on each channel, but the power output will use power from both channels. It is as easy as changing the wires connection points. I have a Rockford Fosgate 4 channel that I bridged 2 channels to run a "10 sub and used the remaining two channels to run each individual 6x8 in the rear doors. If you have any more questions PM me.

Yup, I read it. And I also realise that we are not born with full knowledge of stereo equipment, or how to install it. Many years ago, I would have been asking that same question. But I have learned, and usually by asking someone that knows their stuff (you, dnewman, etc.)

Thats really the only way to learn.

We all learn by doing. Sometimes you need to ask for help for first time projects. Instead of bashing this guy for asking a question, either ignore the post or provide useful some info for him.

I provided the most useful information of all.. I told him to read the manual. It directly states in there how to wire in "brigded" "Stereo" some times "Tri-mode" Also who to wire certain subs if you can't figure out ohms law or don't know that + means pos. and - means Neg.

This Hitman should have been banned long ago. His post are nonsense and if he used his brain then i wouldn't bash him.

that's the problem, (s)hitman doesn't learn. ever. the guy constantly starts flame wars etc.... so when he comes asking for help, accept our apologies if we're not tripping over ourselves to run to his aid. and (as much as i hate to side with steedadork.... ) he did provide him useful info in his first response. simply reading his owners manual provides him with the info on how to do it (which he still needs to refer to in order to find the proper procedure for his rockford amp). actually, now that i think about it, steeda and these other guys gave him the same advice. so now who's not posting the useful advice?
