To all who have advise!

I have a 98 SVT with just under 100,000 miles now. The engine is stronger than ever...so the engine is not in need of anything. I want to have the car ride and feel like a new one. Any advise on what I should replace?

Thanks

Go through the car and try to fix any rattles you can find... no rattles always makes a car feel new again. smile

- spend $ on some GOOD tires
- replace springs, shocks AND bushings(very imp.)
- get a four wheel alignment
- have the car professionally detailed
- change fuel filter, plugs, and put new 9mm wires if you havent already done so

thats all I can think of

buy a new Contour...oh wait. Scratch that.

i agree with honkeytonk monkey there.....try taking care of the rattles...cheapest way to make a car feel new.

then do a complete tuneup - and take care of that suspension!

Yeah the suspension quality on contours is not so great. Check your ball joints (and ball joint bushings), control arm bushings, tie rod bushings, struts, springs. Replacing those things will definitely give you that new car "feel" again.

Well, I have a 2000 SVT with 25K miles, and I live on the east side (reynoldsburg) of Columbus, Ohio. I think You, me, and Ghodge who also has a SVT and lives in The Burg should get together and show the local rice boys who's boss. laugh
