Ok so at the time there is currently no super chip or diablo sport chip program for my ecu code.. if i were to go the the junk yard and get a ecu of a 96 atx zetec would it work for my car while i sent in my ecu for the to make a program for?

It should, but if it works, wouldn't it be easier to get one that they do make a chip for and just get that ECU and the chip for it? Unless you're having it custom programmed (dyno w/ wideband)...
I take it you have a 96 atx zetec.

No it wouldn't work....you would need an ECU with the same code....so you might want to talk to Superchips or Diablo directly to see if they can do a custom chip.

ya i was thinkin of just gettin a list of ecu codes.. then seeing if there were any in the junk yard.. its just that i wanted to keep my original ecu... just in case...

I used a ECU with a different code in my car while doing the auto to manuel tranny swap and it works fine. No codes and all previous functions still work.


ATX MTX swap, rear drum disc swap, drilled rotors, ported intake, optim throttle body, CAI, 7.5L MAF, adj. fuel regulator, longtube headers, underdrive pulley, no EGR, low inpedence bigger injectors, 2002 Focus Swap
