alright, so I have a 98 SE 5speed with an intake and SVT exhaust...im going to the drag strip for the first time in the contour and iv'e heard horror stories about the trannys...i really cant afford to break anything, so if anyone has any tips on how to not break it at the track, please let me know...and should i even risk it?... thanks

Not running it would be the best thing. Running it: Launch low. Like 2500rpm feathering the clutch is what I hear. Second you get any wheel hop, push the clutch back in.

96 ATX Zetec (i brake to watch you swerve)
FS: SVT rear sway bar

That seems a little odd....What are the times on the other side of the slip? a 15.6 w/ a 2.4xx 60 ft is SVT territory....are you sure that wasn't the car next to you? Especially for a first time at the track...I'm a little curious as to all of the details....

well this isn't my first time at the track in general...i've taken my DOHC neon to the track two times before this...the contour is a terrible car for dragging...the stock suspension is too soft and all the weight transfers to the rear, and it also has way too much wheel hop...iv'e beaten a couple SVT's on the street so yeah, it's not a dog... and yeah, that slip is of my car, 259...look at this

With the baby seat and all huh? Well I'm flabbergasted at the least. Good job, sounds like you've got a freak there.
