Could someone tell me where the fuel pressure regulator is located on the 2.5L? Or, if its not easily accessible with the engine running, is the vacuum line to the FPR accessible?

THanks in advance . . . .

You almost have to remove the upper intake manifold to see it. I'm not sure if you can get to the vacuum line with the UIM installed.

A pic of the location can be found in the UIM/LIM intake rebuild how-to (third pic down): UIM/LIM Rebuild

You can get to the vaccumm line running to the regulator without pulling the upper off. You need to take the air cleaner housing out and throttle plate intake hose. With these out of the way you can kinda work your way back there to disconnect it ,etc

Thanks guys! I see that little rascal way back unner there. (I was going to try and pinch off the FPR vacuum line to see if the fuel pressure increased any, but I guess I'm not gonna be able to do that if'n I can't reach it.

And thanks for pointing out the nice write up on cleaning the intakes and fuel rails. Might consider doing that. I ~think~ we have a vacuum leak that I can't find, and maybe its down there under the intake manifold.
