OK, I'm posting 5 new pics from my latest system update in my Tour. Here is the latest pics. First of all is the new glovebox mod. Now I know that you have all heard of it, but I had to do it to make it so that my Image Dynamic Compression horns would fit in the stock glovebox location and underneath the sterring column for optimum sound quality. THen we have a pic of the trunk and batteries, there are 4 Optima Yellow tops, 2 on each side of my box that contains 4 - Kicker 15 L7's. And here is a look at the new amp rack on the inside. On each side is an Earthquake D2 and in the middle is an Alumapro 15 Farad Cap. And to close it out I also mounted several of my smaller amps, a Memphis 150ST and a memphis 3004 in the back of my seats in the rear, here is a closer look. Thats all the pics I have for you today folks. I haven't yet gotten a new db rating from my new setup but I'm hoping for a 155 + showing when I get it rated in a couple of weeks. And for all you IASCA and db drag people, I would love to get more into the competitions for both SQL and SPL ... I have seen that several people pn this board are trophy winners at the finals and all, and I am very insterested in possibly getting in touch with a couple of ya'll to talk about forming an SVT Contour Audio Team or something. Anybody got any ideas? email to jared@dialupusa.net.

There is no rules or mandatory laws about removing the airbags from what I know. If there is, then somebody let me know, but I sure doubt it. My woman didn't like it because she thought I'm out to kill her and collect the insurance ... no trust in our relationship! Geesh!

Cool. Looks good. I like the amps in the rear seats. Does that affect the comfort of the rear passengers at all?

Nobody in the rear has complained about being able to feel an "amp in there back" if thats what your asking. I think that our seats in the rear are REALLY HARD anyways. Especially if nobody is ever back there except when you go to the drive in. But I haven't been to the drive in since the install. Does anybody know of anything else I could do that would be cool?

Hey SVTweeter, I want to welcome you to the world of Sound Quality competitions. But, I feel I must mention something to you that you may not like.
If you decide to compete SQ with IASCA, which is the organization I compete in, I would highly recommend entering the Novice class. The Novice class is designed for new competitors, such as yourself, to allow them to learn and grow. In addition, the Novice class uses the IASCA Street format to keep judging simple and understandable for the new competitor. Unfortunately, part of the emphasis on street rules is to maintain the integrity of the OE safety items and controls. In your case, removing the airbag will result in a 5 point deduction for tampering with the safety equipment.
At local shows, those 5 points may or may not make a difference in your placing. However at the bigger shows (if you decide to persue your competition career) it _could_ make a difference. When you get to compete at the Amatuer level after a year in Novice, you can choose whether to compete under the Street rules or Ultimate rules. The Ultimate rules will not dock you points for having removed the airbag.
If you have any other questions about IASCA SQ competitions, please feel free to ask.

Bob, I am very intested in persuing this. Do you have any other info you could provide to me, or maybe some links on the web I could visit to get more info on how to compete, and/or when and where competitions are? I live in Seattle WA and am pretty anxious to get my car in all the db drags and iasca comps when they come around my area. I imagine there is some type of membership to this correct? Thanks for your time Bob! Jared
