my vanity mirrors and my radio and my cabin lights just stopped working... i think i have a blow fuse. i read the manual and it says that the fuse is in the MAIN fuse box... i found the auxiliary one under the hood but for the life of me i cnt find the MAIN fuse box...

the manual says its under the dashpanel behind the glove box but i dont see it. and they dont give an illustration to help me find it... after about 10 minutes on my head on the floor of the car i still havent found it..

can anyone help me find this main fusebox? give me an idea where to look?

My main fusebox is on the driver's side under the dash. IIRC I read "behind the glovebox" somewhere, too, and it had me all confused until I looked on the driver's side.

Haynes Mauals published by English firm. They used a British Mondeo for illustrations. Thus the reference to glovebox side.

Check 32 and 34 under you drivers side dash these should be brown and 7.5amp. Does your clock work by chance?
Funny... I installed an aftermarket stereo for a friend and blew a fuse. It was not the one I thought it was at the time. It took me a damn hour and I thought I blew his Pioneer. I hope this helps.

if all else fails. Pull each fuse one at a time till you find it. They have a habit of linking together.

good luck.

the fuse box on the contour(american) left hand drive is located by the drivers left toe.. stick you foot out under the dash and you hit the box on the firewall........... when the tell you by the glove box it is because in europe the glove box is on the left side and the driver is on the right side(wrong side???).....

you have to pull out on a white lever for the fuse box to drop open. i had the same fun time searching for mine also.
