Well, I took a leap and bought these 235/45ZR17 Falken Ziex 512's. Everything...price,warranty," Consumer Reports " #1 rating, price... seemed right. They are however, the first all-seasons I've put on this car. After the original G-Force's and my Yokohama A520's, I consider these a bit of a compromise. So far though, I'm pretty pleased with them. They don't seem to be as razor sharp as my previous tires but they,ve held every piece of road I've thrown at them so far. They're also much quieter and more comfy riding.

Do you get any sort of rub with yours? I just put 225/45/17s on and I get a little rub on big bumps/dips. But other than that they are great. They aren't the Falkens, but Ive had a couple sets of the Falken ZE-512's and they are great. Try launching with those babies and you'll see what I mean..

Oh by the way, car looks great!

great looking car! I have a set of Ziex512's coming in on Rev Model X gunmetal wheels, from all the rave reviews I made the right choice.

I've had these on for two weeks now and I must say that any reservations I might have had are gone. They've been flawless. No rubbing at all. With the H&R springs they do fill the wheel wells totally. I've run them in the rain and, as I was working out of town this weekend, run them wide open on a couple early morning highway runs in the country. Most pleased.

The tires look nice on those wheels with the H&R springs, and thats cool that they have no rub. Are your springs the 1.6" lowering ones or the 2.5" Love the look of your 'tour though!!

Honestly, I did'nt know they came in two different configurations for our cars. These are H&R "Sport Springs" I ordered from S&P Motorsports. Their ad says 1.6" drop. I've had them on the car for two years now and, though I have'nt actually measured, I'd guess the front end was about 2" lower before I changed out the stock E1's/Yokohama's for these FSVT/Falkens. The overall diameter of the new wheel/tire combo is a little greater and thus, I've realized a slight increase in ground clearance.

They don't.

H&R's normally give about ~1.5" drop. A hair less if you have Bilsteins.
