I know of I was wondering if anyone has any experiance with the saturn station wagons. I am not sure ifs its a sw1 or sw2 however its a 97 with 150,000 miles.. from the 30 mins we took to run a test drive it runs better then my 96 contour SE. Got it up to 80 mph without the hard shift I get with my tour,
Its only going to cost $1500 is that good?

I just don't trust our contour anymore and don't want to know what other defects its hiding and want to get rid of it. we bought it for $1800 thinking it was ok, $1200, Head gastket! new water pump and about 10 years off my life later. its running but I think the tranny is starting to flip out and we just can't afford to risk fixing it just to have something else go.plus I need the space of a station wagon for work. I've hauled way to much for the contour i'll give it that, about 800 pounds of shingles.. don't ask..
my tour's got 103k miles on it newer
One question is $2500 a reasonable price for it?

Thanks
J

I am not a big believer in saturn at all. Saturn owners that come into where I work for parts seem to really hate the cars, and they seem to have horrible build quality. There is a reason why a car that new is so cheap.

I wouldn't go for it... if you're looking for a small reliable station wagon on a budget, the Ford Escort/Mercury Tracer may be a place to look.
