nope unless you are running HIGHLY modified svt then no there is no need for those, your best bet is to optimize your current throttle body
98.5 Black SE ATX
S&B filter, SVT MAF, optimized SVT TB, mesh grille, removed orange reflectors, painted rear reflector, gutted pre-cats, optimized SVT LIM, 19lb injectors, resonator removed
cant afford an svt but lookin for 1 in nc

Oh the aluminumum air intake pipe, they help out some as they do not neck down inside like the stock rubber tube does, they also help since they are smooth and not bumpy inside (the up and down thing)

Bottom line: Going to a bigger TB on the near stock 2.5L is a waste of money. Optimize the one you have. IMO a 75mm MAF is a waste too since your not even going to outflow the one you have. Its good for about 300 hp. Yes, the Pro M would probably flow better, but I would say the hp gains are minimal. Btw, there is a thread stickied at the top of this branch, discussing this very issue since its been discussed so much.

A larger MAF on SVT's even barely makes any gains. I think Demon is the only one to get any gains with it on his extremely highly modified N/A 3L. Pointless on anything less.

The only use for a larger MAF on an SVT is if you're running out of voltage due to increased need for air such as turbo or S/C. I'm going to upgrade to a 90mm here shortly as I think my 75 pro-m is holding me back.
