where do yall take your cars to get work done? i have an extended warrenty that lasts til 75K so i prefer to have my major repairs done at a dealership.

i went to the local Ford and the service was less than satisfactory.... they had my car in for 2 full weeks for rebuilding of my mtx75, then they somehow conned me into changing out my clutch (55k and felt very good still) for around $500.... anyway... then when i got the car back, it was covered with dirt and dust and they gave me a lame ass excuse that they got fined and can't wash cars anymore on the premise until a car was is built... GRRRRR then i turn on the car and the friggen coolant light is on... i ask the service manager to take care of it and he fills it up with water... some service... GRRR

anyway, i'd apprecaite it if theres a dealership out there that someone can recommend, cuz the local PUENTE HILLS FORD SERVICE DEPT SUCKS @$$...

Well,

I used to work at Ford Tuttle Click in Irvine. I do know that their service was excellent. In fact, they were strict to us to keep their customers happy no matter what. Try there if you like. Its where the 5fwy and 405 fwy touches in Orange County. Good luck.

I had good luck at the Vista Ford Off the 78 and a bad experience with the ford dealership in Escondido. Don't take your ford into Kearny Mesa Toyota for the free oil change you get with every purchase. They will cross thread your Filter Stud

i assume you live to far but all i can input is that my friend's dad got the "royal" treatment at Galpin Ford (the supposedly biggest and number 1 dealer in the us, per ford). anyway, he took his brand new cobra there for maintenance. when he picked it up (you're not gonna believe this..) the techs had switched out his svt shift knob with one from a regualr stang and they had curbed one of his rims real good. they gave it back to him like any old service day, as if he wouldnt notice. the guy's a performance nut! oh did they eat it big time on that one.

Take it to Galpin, trust me they rock over there. Sorry didn't read that last post but anyways I took mine to Galpin with a spun bearing and an after market warranty. I already took to Simi Valley ford , and they claimed I didn't change the oil and it was my fault. They also said that the engine was frozen. It sat there for a month until I took to my Mechanic and he called and said he got it started and running but there was a nasty knock. So I authorized him to tear it down and there was more metal than oil in the uim, and one of the bearing caps was chewed up pretty bad. I had just changed the oil like less than a month before it broke down. The warranty company would only deal with the dealership and not my mechanic so we called Galpin, and they took care of everything for me.. So the moral is Simi Valley Ford=Crap, Galpin=pretty good. On a side note, I know a guy who had a CSVT, in fact its the one on the eibach and borla websites, he traded up for a Silver 03 cobra conv. On it's first service he took it to Simi Valley Ford and they let some guy drive off with it.

any ways thats my story

South Bay Ford off of the 405 in Hawthorne was actually really good, though expensive. Of course, I had a bizarre wiring problem (pin disconnected in the main fusebox), and they had to use a breakout box. Cost? 390 odd some dollars. But nothing was stolen at least...
