Sorry guys, this post was made mostly out of frustration.
Got a new wheel bearing and she drives like a champ again.
Just waiting for the other side to go...

See you silly bugger. A little patience and some TLC, and the old SVT lives to fight another day!

i had that time of frustration once w/ my CSVT....a few weeks later i was driving an '02 RSX-S.
i don't regret trading *my* CSVT at the time, given its "issues" that were either present or forthcoming in the near future....but i still can't help but nearly break my neck staring at every CSVT i see driving past. glad to hear you're holding onto yours - this time, anyway.

I'd get anything with a 3800 V6, Regal, Bonneville, LeSabre, LSS (Olds), Riviera, etc. Some of these cars have the S/C'd 3800 with hp #'s anywhere from 205-240 hp, depending on what year you get. Good luck out there!
