Somebody posted about something happening to their's because of weather conditions. I think as long as it's made just right, it'll be OK, but if not, then yeah something could happen.

The summer heat wouldn't affect it much, if at all...although the cold weather (freezing temps) may cause some brittleness (like any plastic/resin/etc...the fiber itself won't but the resin may) & you may want to be very careful opening & closing the hood...but that's only a theory

You guys can laugh at Kremit all you want, but I think he is the Illuminator of All Things. The rest of us just aren't on the same level as he is, so sometimes the meaning of his lofty pronouncements are lost on us.

cold weather wont effect epoxy nor will heat. it doesnt get over 350 degrees anywhere on this planet. most cheap epoxies will hold up to 250-350 degree temp and not yellow and burn up. trust me most cf hoods are made with cheap materials. esp if you get them for less than 800 bux they are garaunteed not to be autoclaved. (baked) so you never know but my experience with adv composites is under 250 degrees the matrix of the resin wont degrade.

thanks for getting this post back on track to answer the original question. how would underhood temperatures affect a cf hood?
