The scary part is that the Maelstrom is an impressive speaker and it looks like a wimpy little POS next to the 1803...that is sweet! See you guys, I don't steer you in the wrong direction.... smile

hmm i wish i could do a side-by-shot next to one of my Strokers...THAT would be a comparison.

how heavy are each of the magnets btw? I think mine weigh in at 31 lbs. a piece.

The 1803 weighs somewhere around 55-60 lbs. As far as the magnet weight, they don't advertise this spec because it isn't really an important spec.

Besides, how did you strokers cost? This thing cost 249.00 and displaces close to 35% more air than the strokers.

I got the Strokers off eBay brand new, sealed for $330 a piece. They are in fact 31 lbs. (15" ones), and I kinda like em.

I think hitting 156 dB and not knowing what the **** you're doing at the dB drag contest aint bad (i.e. i had no clue what 'burping' was or anything).

The magnet alone weighs 31 pounds, the total weight of the the 18 stroker is about 40 lbs. I'm unsure of the total weight of the 15.

The RMS power of the Maelstrom is 1000 watts. The BP1803 is quoted at 1000 watts, but that is very conservative.

BTW, the strokers are good speakers, they just can't move as much air as the blueprints.
