So, after buying the kit, and having ford estimate a $1200 installation bill, i decided to do some more investigating. As i understand it, the problem is actually not "warping" at all. It is the Dash vinyl becoming unglued from the car itself. When i push the pieces back down by hand, they still line up perfectly. So instead of installing this kit which literally covers-up the problem...why can't i re=epoxy the pieces? If the original epoxy Ford used lasted 4 years, why wouldn't a fresh coat? I have an very strong epoxy that i used to seal a crack in my radiator, the stuff seals as strong as concrete. Wouldn;t that be a better option than giving Ford $1200 to mask the problem with a giant black piece of metal?

I'm interested in hearing what people think.

$1200??? Bwahahaha! They saw you coming!! Get the right adhesive and it *might* work; there is little substitution for mechanical fastening in my opinion--at least for this problem.
