I didnt think id have to say this anytime soon, but another contour is going to the auction. Unfortunitly i am not getting another....more like bimmer time. For the curious minds that dont know of my constant (car) problems....like my dash lights not working, e-brake, needs alignment, big ass dent in the side,no driver mirror, just replaced the alternaor (twice), cat, battery, damn wiper clip broke...so everytime it rains my wiper falls off, the whole right side of my car ramdomly burns through headlights, tails; etc. The only reason i got the SVT exhaust is because the exhaust flange behind the cat broke, had to cut and drill that out. IMRC cable got frayed, of corse the h20 pump. Now i know some of these are maintance and regular items that wear out on a car, but damn, seriously.....what not even two years i had this, and WAY too much money. I really....REALLY like this car, but man.....im not happy now. Curious minds may click here to see pictures of the recent damage. Oh yeah, forgot to mention the moosing and replaced upstream 02 sensors. Broken rear door glass two weeks or so after i got it. Hit a pot hole and broke the top right motor mount bolt. Of corse gay-ass ford wont let you buy just a mount bolt...you have to get the hole mount, and it takes them 3 or 4 times until the right one gets shipped in (brainless losers). This is all way too much for a daily driver. Ive treated this thing like a baby up until these last few months. Kept all recipts and documents from 22k...run Royal Purple...Tranny cocktail, all kinds of stuff. Maby she just doesnt like me.

I dont know guys.....im 99.9% sure im getting rid of the tour and going for a Bimmer. Ive spotted a few, of the mid-90's 3 series, that i just love. So one tends to think thats the direction i will be going. Of corse ill still be here to bug you guys....but no more tour.

Sorry to hear that. But... many of the problems including your recent damage are "man made" meaning that u can't blame the car/manufacturing company for your misfortunes. Now, if you don't like the ford stealerships spare parts policy - wait and see what Bimma ones got in store for you. I remember ordering side skirts jack covers for my M3 and the single one cost me something like 140 Deutche Mark - roughly 70 bux. LOL. Maintenancewise I had pretty sucky experience with 525 too.

On the other hand I hear ya and know how annoying the constant maintenance might be - chasing the dragon... G'luck with your new car.

Sorry to hear about your soon-to-be troll status . You'll miss the 'Tour as soon as you get rid of it . As for a replacement , I have two letters for ya ... VW . Fairly cheap to buy used , cheap to run , cheap to maintain , good on gas , fun to drive ... don't count 'em out . There's a huge aftermarket for 'em too , so you can hot 'em up easily . If you must go with BMW , don't forget about BimmerParts in Pottstown for your parts needs .

Want a really nice , low mileage black/tan 2000 SVT with a few mods ??

Mid 90's M3 huh? I see the future......I see big repair and maintaince bills

How much are you looking to spend, I could probably find you a nice Volvo 850 or S70 for less
