I've noticed a few problems with my car lately. While driving at a constand speed, my car will jolt, and then return to normal. Under acceleration (hard or normal), it starts fine, bogs down a little, and then picks up again. Seems to happen more at lower rpms, before the secondaries open. (almost like brief loses of power) I also have a low idle problem, which i think the iac is the problem, because sometimes I'll stop at a light and the car will die. It starts right up like normal, but then idles again at 500 or less. I listened for vacume leaks and can't hear any. The iac is supposed to click constantly when running right? Because I hear a wierd sound coming from that area of the engine, a sucking or clicking sound (something like that).
I recently gutted my cats, but have no cels at all. I'm planning an intake rebuild this week, replacing the iac, pcv valve, all gaskets, and the plugs. If anyone has had similar problems and the manifold rebuild won't fix, please let me know.

I think that I had the same problem as you are expirencing. Take a hard look at the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets.

I seriosuly fell sorry for you as it seems you have more problems than a I do and I have a lot of them.
As for your idling problem, first clean the IAC valve. Then check for intake/vacuum leaks as they both can cause idle problems.

So far I've already cleaned the IAC valve. That didn't change anything. Off to do the Manifold rebuild, replace plugs, get a new battery, 2 distributer blocks and two new battery clamps, and a new iac valve. Should I replace the pcv valve while I'm at it?

A hesitation during normal driving can be a culprit of a bad pcv valve. Well worth the extra few bucks to pick up one if its never been replaced. Best of luck to you.

Rent a fuel pressure gauge from auto zone and check your fuel pressure. if it is low, change out your fuel filter and then check again...

Autozone - at least in my town - doesn't have fuel pressure gauges for rent that work with our cars. I called a few weeks ago, and was told they don't rent them, but I could buy one for $34.99.
