well anyway. ran a quick search but figured i would ask for an opinion

after 4k, when the car is started cold/warm and fuel level wherever full/empty...it falls on its face, hell...feels like im hitting the rev limiter.

1)fords returnless system sucks as i have done the pump on my focus twice.
2)thinking it may be the IMRC
3)thought about clogged cats, but the only symptom is the power loss.

opinions?...i just got into the dura's 2 weeks ago (besides the 23e) and don't know much about them. if someone could help out. last thing i need it more car problems. had 3 cars, focus/topaz/contour...focus has no inspection sticker and bent valves, topaz needs a new brake master cylinder, and then this with the contour. been a bad month with cars

I know that on mine (which is an ATX) if the car is in neutral or park, there is a rev limiter that kicks in at about 4k RPM, is that what you are experiencing? In the General forum you were talking about picking up a 5-speed Mystique, is this the same car?

later in that topic i mentioned the change, ended up with a mtx cougar.

figured out the problem to be the fuel pump today anyway
