Ok, I am trying to figure out the volume of this old sub-tube I had lying around. The inside diameter is 8"; The length is 15.5". I am not a math wiz, but isn't volume just the area of the circle multiplied by the length? SO, this is what I came up with:
3.14x16=50.24x15.5=778.72/1728=0.45
3.14(Pi)x16(radius squared)=50.24(area of circle)x15.5(length)=778.72(cubic inches)/1728(cubic inches in a cubic foot)=0.45 cubic feet of vulume.
Like I said, not a mathematician (Heck, I don't even know if I spelled that right

!). So let me know if I am correct or very, very wrong!
