I recently used some touch up paint on some spots where the Tour had been chipped by rocks and hit in the parkin glot, ect. My dad has always said you are supposed to wait several months before waxing the newly painted parts of the car. Is this still true?

Everything I've heard and read simply says to wait at least a day, and at most a week. I'll be waiting a day, then sand, polish, and wax my touch up I just put on today as well. Today's the day for Touch ups!

touch up paint is not the same thing as regular paint. it does need some time to cure, but not months. the best way to do it (im no expert) is to apply the touch up paint, and after 2 weeks use a light rubbing compound. this will blend the paints together slightly and smooth them out a bit. wax right after. dp no use rubbing compound. i use "heavy cut cleaner" from mother's gold. works great.
