Saturday is work on the car day. I have a 98 sport v 6 121000 miles. As far as I know its all original. I have changed the plugs and had a new alternator put onalso both upsteam o2 sensors.
List of things to do:
PCV valve
UIM/ LIM cleaning
Throttle body cleaning.
MAF cleaning.
I have code p0401 so I will probaly just replace the egr valve while I am in there. .
replace the air bypass hose. . Temp fixed right now.
Oil change
atx fluid change. .
and also my rear brake has a small leak. I tore it down to conclude that the master cylinder for the drum brake needs to be rebuilt. Bad seal.
Because of contaminated brakes on one side new brake on rear.
cabin air filter replacement. Hoping that will fix my hvac problem.

Anything else that I should do feel free to post it.
Thanks Yall..

Welcome aboard!

Looks like you have things well in hand at this point & have done a fair amount of trolling for info. Well done!

You should also consider converting the drum brakes to disks. It can be done for little money if you grab some of the key parts from a bone yard, & will offer you more trouble-free motoring and potentially better braking performance.

The P0401 may go away after you do the TB cleaning so the expense of an EGR valve might be avoided. Those passages behind the TB gasket get clogged up pretty bad.

When you're done, I'm sure you'll learn to love your car. Enjoy!!

As stated a P401 might not be the ERG don't change it.
While doing your UIM/LIM check the DPFE hoses and also check the evap emissions hose running from the PCV valve.
This plastic corrigated hose will develop pin holes and crack.
It runs from the PCV valve down the firewall.

Ok put in a new cabin air filter for the hvac. That thing was hard as a rock and solid black, the last rain definatley did it in. New filter in and it works fine again.
Gonna have to go to the stealership to get a air bypass hose. Nobody has it.
Going to start the tear down in the morning when the car is cool.
I will definatley check the evap hose on the pcv valve when I change it out.
I also need to change out the tranny mounts, they are toast. Can I just change the inserts on the roll resistors or do I need to replace the whole thing? Also are they available at AZ?

Ok well weekend didnt work out the eay I had planned.
I changed the plugs, put Autolite platinums in. I had bosch but the car idled poorly.
Changed the oil.
Changed the top tranny mount.
new crankcase vent tube. The old one disentegrated in my hands when just touched.
heres the bad har to order most everything I need. So I could do most of what I had wanted.
roll resisters will be in tomorrow along with the uim/lim/egr/aic/tb gaskets.
Couldnt find them in stock anywhere around here.
I need an air bypass tube. Mine was torn at the bottom leading to my two lean codes( bank 1/2) I guess I will be going to the stealership for that one. I have the upgraded one now so its difficult to get one any where else.
Didnt get to the trany fluid changed because wifes friend came over with her 95 Beretta, spent the rest of the weekend working on her car. Lots of rust got sanded off, sealed and primmed. I would say about 20 hours this weekend under the hood.
Well at least I will have everything I need for next weekend.
