My oil pan drain plug is almost to the point where a can't get it off. What is the best plan of action? Does the Fram suredrain work well? Should I just get another 13mm bolt?

Go to Ford get 'Oversized' drain plug.

I put the Fram suredrain thing on a couple of years ago. I think its great. I had to grind off the barbed fitting that has the plastic hose( original was too long and would not screw in because of the Y pipe)

If your threads are gone, dont know if you want too, but you could try retaaping it to a larger size that the Suredrain comes in, and use loctite to keep the new piece from ever moving.

ad then you'll never have to unscrew this. unless you want to mod the engine.

If the hex on the drain bolt is stripped replace the bolt. get a correct 6 point wrench to loosen the bolt. 12 point sickets are nice and all but can strip bolts rather easily if they are a crappy brand

If the head get a new plug. If the thread then there are aftermarket expandable rubber plugs that satisfactorily solve this frequent problem. Check the oil change accessories aisle in any automotive supply store for the latter.
