I figured since I made that post under "a good reason to own a truck", I'd show off my 1994 Ford Explorer XLT. It's pretty low in mileage (just turned 70,000), and it looks pretty good for a stock SUV, but I think I'm just biased.

BTW, I know the pics aren't very "photogenic." I just snapped a few quick pics in the parking lot where I live, after finishing up the clay/wax process.

Nice, we have a 94 Explorer XLT 4 door 4 X 4, white. We bought it back in 98 with like 75K on it. My husband loves the thing. He won't give it up. Looks like I will have to trade in my Contour when we get the minivan.

I don't know what Ford was thinking with that whole "I-beam" suspension... Our '83 Bronco was CONSTANTLY out of allignment and eventually started sagging. (Of course, a 17 year old boy in the mountains w/ the Bronco probably didn't help... )

If you ever look at a Ranger, Full size, Explorer, etc with that I beam POS going down the road, watch the severe arc that the front wheels travel. It's obsurd!

BTW, 70K on a '94? I'm about 50 miles shy of 75K...and mine's a 2000! Gotta put some miles on that sucker!

Carry on.

LOL @ Sandman333! Yeah yeah...I know...it was my dad's and I bought it from him, but he replaced the tires that were under recall. He's a stickler for keeping the same brands that it came out of the factory with. He would definitely NOT MOD anything. I'm surprised he even changes the oil. It was an argument to get him to change the plugs, but it ran MUCH better after, and got better gas mileage - Avg. 19mpg.

Thanks to everyone who complimented! It is my intent to keep this as my only vehicle, and sell the Mystique soon. I hardly drive anyway, since I live at work - literally. That way no more car payments.

My friend got a 1994 Ford Exploder Sport with all options except leather from his dad for his 16th birthday. has 70K miles on it. It was mostly used to drive back and forth to work which was a 10 minute drive away. So Its mostly city miles. Car runs amaizing, and puts up to my friend's abuse like crazy. GOOD cars.
