currently getting 26mpg about. About right isnt it? I know it used to be in the low 30s but those days are gone, just cant seem to correct the problem.

average I get about 25 or 26, thats combined highway and City (mostly city). I would say its about right for a Zetec combined City. I bet if you drive nothing but freeway you will get somewhere arround 32 or 33. Thats if you never hammer on the gas.... but where is the fun in that?

Mine is in the mid 20's also. Once while on a road trip, I got up to 38mpg.

refilled yesterday with 246...HARD city driving (yes its miles) mobil 1 syth jumped my mileage quite a bit...

Just checked mine since I've had it only 1 week - 31MPG (suburbs/highway). FU OPEC! Love my Zetec MPG....

I noticed in your sig that you have E1 wheels. Did you change tire size, too? If so, that could mean you're miscalculating your mpg.
BTW, I get 28 around the city and 30s easily on the highways.
edit: have you changed your plugs lately? are they accurately gapped (with feeler gauges)?

I get ~26 mpg in the city driving my car very HARD. I drove about 250 miles yesterday and had nearly half a tank left when I got here.
