Hey all,

Has anyone tried installing a Fumoto oil drain plug on their contour? They seem very nice, especially since I haven't really mastered a way to pour from my pan into old bottles.. With these, you can hook up a tube and go straight to bottles, it seems.

I'm trying to figure out which version I need, and if I'll need the extension. I'm pretty sure the "nippled" version would be safe (impact-wise) on my '95.. I'm not sure, though, since my car's fifty miles away. Can any owners shed some light?

Thanks all

Not a llama, I got a "sealed" pan from walmart that holds 9 quarts
has a small drain so you can drain right into the bottles... I put
most of it in the 5 qt jug, then the whats left in the single quart bottle.

Yes, Fram sells the sure drain. My g/f's 2K Tacome requires a new gasket for the plug every oil change, because her stock one just crumpled last time I did it, so I said f$^*& that and put on a Sure Drain. Sure makes life easier.

The suredrain intereferes with the y-pipe; I tried it long ago. One of my friends got one for his car; it's cheesy as hell, and it takes him 10 minutes to drain 6 quarts, so that's out of the question.

The fumoto is really the highest quality; quite a few people around here have them. I just don't know about sizing and extensions...

i bought a fumoto valve, and never put it in because it interferes with my y-pipe as well. I'll have ot try it again next oil change. Thanks for reminding me!
