What would be best thickness to go with on plexiglass that would be used for a side of a sub box? All the other sides will be made out of of 3/4 mdf but one side needs to be plexi glass so you can see into the box. What thinkness should i go with?
thanks---chris

I would probably be shooting for the same thickness as the MDF. I would start with .75".

I agree, but you better be prepared to really thin out your wallet for 3/4 or thicker plexiglass...it's pretty pricey.

daves right about 3/4 in. don't use anything less. I bought a piece once that measured 3 ft. x 2 ft. if I remember correctly. I got it through a friend who knew someone at a distibutor, I think I paid about 45.00. To be honest though, I have no idea how much it would go for elsewhere.

Mike is absolutely correct. Just for an idea of the cost, check out www.selectproducts.com If I'm not mistaken, somebody a few months ago mentioned they were a select products dealer. Maybe he could get you a deal.

yes i' am a dealer for select products. the only reason i became a dealer was to get better prices on there stuff. email me with the size you need and i will give you a price. and yes i would recommend 3/4 thick also. i can get 3" thick if you got some bucks to burn.
