never go to napa again. i lost a motor due to their and my ignorance. i went and bought some spark plugs. told them i wanted two ranges colder and they gave me copper cores. didnt even relize it. so the plugs melted and dropped into the cylinder. napa would not cover my damages nor would autolite. turns out the plugs were not even for my car. but their book said so. swapped the motor and they hooked me up with a clutch.... seemed a little big. now their computer said it was for the svt contour...... maybe a mustang cobra... the pressure plate was as big as my flywheel. wtf went back with my original pressure plate and the guy said for me to go to a different store other than napa because there was nothing they could do for me. i said a few words and they pushed me out of the store. at least i got my refund back. a holes. bunch of incompetant a holes. thanks napa.

from my dealings with napa either the filter was installed backwards which is easy to do btw or its for a honda civic.

I have been calling around for fuel filters and every place asked me if I wanted the OEM, or the one a few dollars cheaper. Either way, I do not see why you would have problems.

are you sure you put it in right? you have to install it flowing the right way. i put mine in backwards and the car ran like hell. switched it around and it was fine.

You can pick up a Purolator for under $8. Purolator makes the OEM filter.

Replacement time is about 5 minutes.

actually those wont fit they have to be bolted on, and they look way different

the purolator fuel filter you want is the F63169 from Advance auto parts or a Deutsch FF679 from autozone(its behind the counter gotta ask them for it)

you probably put it in backways.... the arrow on the side of the filter points to the flow of gas, not the front of the car.. i had to do a double take on it when replacing mine on a 93 taurus... (same setup on the contour)... get back under the car and look at the arrow again and then look at the hose coming from the fuel tank..... and the hose that goes from the filter to the engine(front of the car)..... real easy to put it in backways.....
