In the past couple of weeks, I've performed the following maintenance/upgrades on my wife's 98SE:

-New SVT struts (front+rear)
-SVT springs (used, low mileage)
-Poly bushings + End Link Grommets (front+rear)
-New Brake Pads/Rotors (BAT)
-Speed Bleeders (bled brakes+clutch)
-New Passenger-side front A-Arm
-New Passenger-side front Wheel Bearing (had a shop press it in)
-Tire Rotation
-Oil Change
-Wash+Wax+Detail

I'm glad that work is done -- it's too hot this time of year!

Here's some pictures:

In addition, here's a not-too-ancient picture of my 96SE:

Lookin really good!

Now what made you probably the ONLY person who went with MSDS headers and other mods and still never bought a K&N? Usually a K&N is everyone's first mod.

None-the-less, looking great, and those cars do have a VERY stock look to them too! Maybe that's the reason for the stock intakes...

Actually, both of my SE's have the drop-in K&N panel filters (for the stock intake box) That was the first mod performed on each vehicle. I've debated getting a different filter and intake setup, as I don't want to fight heat soak.

When I find a good deal on MSDS headers+Y, I'll be installing them on my wife's SE -- one bolt on the stock rear exhaust manifold is broken, so there is a little exhaust leak right now. Installing the MSDS on my 96SE was a pain, but it was WELL worth it!

I prefer keeping the Contours looking like they're completely stock -- they attract much less (unwanted) attention that way!
