Trying to decide the best way to get my cars to TX. Our first plan fell through, but now it's too late to get a truck to deliver them within a reasonable time. (they are all talking like 3-4 weeks!) Everything was going SO smoothly that this was bound to happen. I'm scrambling here. Any ideas guys?

i HATE car transport companies. i have heard of so many horror stories. when i sold my tour the company wouldnt show up for 2 weeks straight!!!! just simply would not show up!
a friend of mine had her car shipped from arizona and the oil from the car above hers leaked ALL over her car. nice paint mod huh?
try a different company, or drive down!

are you moving yourself? If so, I'd rent a car trailer and pull one that way and have your wife or whomever drive the other.

How long is the drive? See if one of the guys here or another one of your friends would drive one (or two if you need two cars driven) down in exchange for a few bucks, room/food, and a plane ticket back. Probably wouldn't be much more expensive (if any) than getting them shipped and you know they'd be careful with them.

It's only 20 hours, 42 minutes to drive (Manassas to Dallas) Distance: 1305.00 miles. According to mapquest.

It should just be two cars unless he has some other cars that I dont know about (the mazdaspeed and the SVT)

I have no real suggestions but what timeframe are you talking about needing the cars in?

Doesn't Amtrak have a "car ferry" I am pretty sure they do. My mother in law used it a few years back shipping her car to Fla.

They do, but I think it's just an East Coast thing.

If I had the time and you paid for a plane ticket back, I'd drive one down for ya.

Yo, thanks for all the suggestions guys. That's great idea Matt and Jeb. Hmmmm. If I could find someone that had the time I'd sure pay for a ticket back and give them some pocket as well as cover all the expenses of the drive. Besides. They'd get to drive the MSP or SVT
