I have 110,000 miles on my 1998 csvt and recently i have been getting a noise from the rear of my car it sounds like a spare tire bumping up and down? but all is secure i have checked exaust brackets every thing but then i look in my wheel well and see my strut is leaking fluid and look at my other rear one and see the same thing . after seeing that i wen't driving every time i hit a small bump with the rear tires it makes the noise and then is fallowed by a small wave of concussions like vibebrations i am going to replace my struts is there anything else it could be so i can fix it while it is takin apart. also im getting the bat struts are those better than stock ones or not?

Lubricate the bushings as well, you have to remove them to do so.

There is something in the FAQ I believe as well about it.

Check Ur anti-sway bar (ASB) bushings (U-shape rubbers (!) attaching ASB to floor), and the bushings at both ends of the ASB links (short verticals from ASB to Lower control arms) That's where that "loose spare" clunk usually comes form. The rubber ones are pretty cheap right from Ford but there are also Nylon bushings available aftermarket.

I have that same problem right now but its coming from the front. It turns out that its my struts. So I'm going to go ahead and slam the car while I'm at it.
