I can't get my trunk open. The button on my remote isn't working and the release from inside the car isn't working either. My key doesn't open the trunk either. And I don't think you can get the seats down without the trunk open. Hmmm... Any suggestions? My car has been irking the heck out of me lately.

if the key goes in but won't turn, try using a good lock lube and keep working it.

if u are very desperate to open it then fold down the seats and climb in with a flash light and look for a release...alomst all cars are required to have one

If all else fails, take it your local Ford dealership; there no doubt they can fix it, either by repairing the electrical system or the mechanical aspects. Or both.

Be forewarned, they might rape you for $50-$200 (or possibly even more) in labor and/or parts. But then again, what good is a trunk that can't open?!?

just kidding.....mine did this......turned out the weatherstripping was like frozen to each other....just had to turn key and lift really hard.......kinda popped.......hasnt done it since!

Had similar problem - try to push trunk down first, than try release handle.

I had this problem when I flipped the switch in the trunk that de-activates the lever by the driver seat.
I didn't know at the time the key lock had seized.

I went to home depot and bought a 6ft piece of dowel.
With a little finessing, I was able push the dowel between the fold down seats,
pop the switch that activates the drivers side lever and vola, opened the trunk.

yea i was a victim of the saem thing, i dont ahve the remote trunk with the alarm and the keys i got the car doesnt open the lock, i made the mistake of trying to find out what the little switch was, luckily i had the original seat and all i had to do was unbolt it and then i was in. good luck.
