I hate to throw what could be a horrible off-topic thread up, but I have a couple threads with questions and suggestions that I'd like to start, and none of them really seem to fit into any of the particular categories that are available. I will list the basic topics here, and if a mod or senior user could PM me with a suggested forum, I will gladly go and post them there. I did do searches, and that's where one of my suggestions comes in.
1) CEL from having a VCT motor in a non-VCT car, swapping PCM/ECU to resolve this.
2) Gauge cluster questions, specifically tach differences between 4 cyl and V6 (example: Ranger tachs can be set for V8 with a jumper wire)
3) Suggestions to the powers that be to revise the search so that all forums can be searched at once (I looked around,maybe I missed it.) Also, Perhaps providing a link at the top of the forum that leads back to the main-site FAQ/How-To section.
I don't intend to overstep my bounds, I like to get threads into their correct places so other users might find them.

The search used to be set up that way, but it made the forums terribly slow for everyone else. Dont remember exactly why.

Yup. "I turned off the ability to search every forum at once -- these queries were hitting the database pretty hard, especially if more than one is running at the the same time. One can still search an entire category (General, Mods, Branches)." Lance. Also, there is indeed a link up top that says Main Site that leads you to the FAQ and How-To's.

I can see where the search would be disabled because of that now. Just found it kind of odd, is it a software, or server issue? Any input on the other points? And thanks, my head smells like fish now.

Ok, I can see where this is going to be futile. It was just a suggestion to link directly to them, being on dialup (14.4 k, not 56) It takes me a while to plug through the pages. No harm no foul though.

I don't know about you but my forum page loads on a new seperate window from the home page, so I can just click on that window if I need the home page.

Alright, I appreciate the replies thus far. I imagine it will take me a little time to fit in over here. In the meantime, I'm going to just stick both of those other threads in the Zetec forum, since that's what my motor is. Thanks!
