Recently I posted a message for a free O2 sensor.
I went something like this


O2 sensor FREE - 1995 Coutour Zetec 2.0L I4
I just got through a struggle with the CEL on my 1995
Contour GL. Intermittent code 172. The first thing I tried
was replacing the O2 sensor. No luck - still got code.
Well- to make a long story short. It turned out to be the
water temp sending unit. All seems better now.

So now I have the old O2 sensor which I assume is still
good. Can Anybody out there use it? I have no way of
telling how many miles is on it but the car has 109,000.
The sensor is a FORD unit, part number 94BB-9F472-DA,
made by NTK - Japan. 4-wire hookup with connector.
Other stuff -- deleted


But I was instantly labelled as a SCAMMER.
I even offered to send it out free and get the shipping
fee after the member had a chance to inspect the unit.
Is this any way to treat a new member?

I had no opportunity to prove that my posting was true!
I just don't want to send the O2 sensor to the crusher.
OK - If anybody is willing to give me their US postal
mailing address, I'll send the O2 sensor absolutely FREE.
If you don't want to send me their address, you can come
pick up this thing. GPS = N 34.16392, W 84.27500

i don't think that people meant to treat a honest offer that way, but with the number of people getting scammed when trying to sell something people are warry ...
