The clowns have charged me twice for the room so now I am trying to get PayPal (the card I used) to reverse the second identical charge. Un-fuggen-believable!

So check your online statements gys so that you weren't dinged twice also.

Maybe it is some type of surcharge from accessing so many internet porn sites.

Those fuggers did the same for me, too. I called amerisuites and they said it was an "Error".

and that I will see it credited to my account in 7-10 business days.

. However.. when they want teh money.. tehy take it at an instance, redicuous.

yup, they make money on interest...ur money sits in their bank for a week..

i didnt even go and they charged me for two nights....i guess i shouldnt of given them my card# to hold the room...i didnt realize that they would still charge you

maybe those are costs for tips or what they felt they needed to charge to deal with us haha

Yup, it's on mine too. I think it's an issue of if you reserved the room and they did the automatic checkout and accidentally rebilled it at that time. Guess it's time for me to call them too. I saw it a few days ago and was waiting to see if anything happened with it.

Well , I got my credit card statement today & low & behold ... THEY SCREWED ME TOO

!!!!

I called them immediately & the girl at the desk transferred me to the GM of the hotel & naturally I got his VOICEMAIL

! No response as of yet

. What a bunch of tools !! Did they think noone would notice ?? Or tell anyone else that they were overcharged ??

If SZ-06 is in Ft.Wayne next year , I vote for another hotel . One mistake is one thing , this many is unacceptable .

Allen, I got the GM voicemail as well last week, but as of today my card was credited back. All I left him was my full name and room #. Check back on your card in a day or two.

I think it was an issue of us preregistering that many rooms and then the hotel staff not being informed that they had all ready been charged, so they naturally charged us upon checkout like any normal customer. My .02 is that it's a bit of a hassle, but they did a great job in putting up with us and providing a great hotel and I'd vote for having it their again.

Yeah the over charging situation sucks and it was a mistake. Its what matters after the mistake that counts. As long as they try and solve the problem with good customer service I dont see any issues. Yes its an innconvience but it happens. I was very happy with the hotel all around and they did put up with us. So i too vote for them again for SZ'06!

Yeah, they got me squared away.. all is good.

well I was only charged once, but then again the room was initally reserved under a different credit card by someone else ... but its good to hear that it has been straightened out.

just found out yesterday they charged me twice also but it was taken care thankfully...

They fixed there booboo - but in the future I will NOT give them my card again after booking it. If they get the info once - then why do they need to swipe the card frikkin 3 times. Retarded!

that happens more than you think with hotels thats why i always use cash now. the last time i went to alaska i think 2 years ago i stayed at a nice hotel in downtown anchorage cause my buddy had just moved and wasnt unpacked yet, well the total for the week was like $1,000 for the room and then about 2 months later they charged me again and would reverse it finaly visa had to get involved and i got my money back, well the hotel had went bankrupt and it was the owner trying to swindle money from people, he was later arrested and charged with credit card fraud after doing it to over 75 people. thats nearly $75,000

My card was not double charged... maybe it was Sunday checkouts or something with the volume of people checking out and orders processed.

I finally heard back from the GM yesterday afternoon . He said it was a mix-up with booking , and something about booking another person on my card

!! It was a Brian something-or-another , can't remember last name - don't think it was Applegate

(seriously , it was a Brian - should've written it down) . He said it'd be taken care of in 2-3 days ... we'll see . Why would they book someone else on my card ?? That sucks ! Anyone get a free ride ??
It took him a couple days , but he did get back to me (after a couple calls from me

) . I hope it's all taken care of .
