O.K. Before x-mas I had the slave and the clutch replaced.
The slave was blown, TOB was bad, but the clutch felt good.
Had it all replaced to save on labor and time.
Now I'm wondering if they changed the clutch at all.
The clutch seems to drive the same as it did before the fix.
Pedal feels like it ingages in the same place.
I guess my question is how can I tell if there is a new clutch in there?
Of course if I go to the shop and say anything they will say it's new.

How do you expect it to drive? If they replaced with another OEM cltuch it's going to feel the same. You might be able to tell if oyu removed the starter to look in the bell housing. Don't know how much you could see. You could see if the pressure plate is new though.

My car has 117000 miles on it. I just thought that a new clutch would feel differnet, than a worn one.

If the last one was still good then why would it feel different if it is the exact same part? It's going to act the same no matter the thickness. I haven't been able to tell my Spec stage 1 from stock.

Well than I guess thats good news. I didn't want to get ripped off. The shop gave me a year warrenty and I got a good price for the job. Thanks.

I believe that the transmission is a self adjusting hydrolic. It would engage in the same place always.

So your saying that a spec stage 2 would feel the same as stock also ? If he had a worn clutch and got it replaced with a new one no matter if it was an oem or not it would engage different. more firm instead of sloppy.pedal pressure would feel the same though

No. Spec uses a different pressure plate and on the stage 2, 3, and 4 they use more agressive puck material. It will definitely feel different than stock on the higher stages. The stage one is made similarly to stock but with higher clamp loads and beefier components, that may be why it feels similar; though honestly with the spec pressure plate it almost certainly has to have a different engagement point.
