OK so I have 2 issues.

1. (Minor Issue) I got my car back from the mechanic missing a center cap for one of my wheels. Of course he insists it was on the car. Whatever... Does anyone have an extra E0 SVT center cap they would like to sell?

2. (Major issue) I lost my burst at 4,000. I think I have had this issus before, but it was covered under warranty. Not so anymore... I know sometimes on long beatings it would go out and I would just turn the ignition off and back on and it would be fine. This hadn't happened in a long time and then on the way back to the city one day it just went away. Any suggestions? Disconnect battery to clear memory maybe? Please help, I am dying, the car is so damn slow.

Thanks,
Chris

Secondaries arent opening, most likely the IMRC box located under the plastic cover on the front of the engine.

Removing that cover and leaving it off sometimes helps abit....

First I would make sure your IMRC is still properly connected to the secondaries. Next, try letting it sit over night to cool off and see it they will work when the engine is still cold. If the secondaries are still not opening, you need a new IMRC my friend.

You could try manually holding the secondaries open with some form of a wire tie back or something (sorry, haven't had to investigate this linkage). I would have to believe your car would be a little sluggish down low and may end up killing your fuel economy below 3700rpm. The A/F ratio would lean out with the additional air flow below the normal secondary opening point and the EEC would begin dumping fuel to make up for the lean condition. Just something to keep in mind. Good luck.

I have a spare IMRC if you need to buy another.
