Welcome, you can remove the unit with a stereo removal tool from numerous places. May have to take the removable piece of the headunit if there is one ot do this.

Yes, for the speakers you have to bypass the AMP behind the glovebox. I didnt buy a kit to connect the ends together i just cut and twisted em.

that would be handy if he had a stock h/u in there, but he doesn't.

iirc, clarion has retaining clips on each side of the h/u that require a tool to seperate them from the h/u chassis. you can probably substitute a couple of butter knives in place of them, or just remove the entire bezel (that surrounds the h/u, hvac, dimmer, etc). just slide the butter knives in the channels on either side of the h/u, then pull on the h/u (carefully) with a pair of needle nose or something.

dude you live like 25 miles away from me, The clarion should have spots where you can stick keys in and pull the deck out, most keys should work depending on which deck they are for, pioneers works well for anything really. if you have a diff head unit the internal amp has been bypassed.

If you need any help with your soon to be system let me know, I did all of my work and am very willing to help a fellow enthusiast. (1/0 guage cable all the way, batcap 400, mtx1501d, 3 infinity kappa perfects in fiberglass enclosure)

You need these, I believe. Call some local stereo stores that sell Clarion. Maybe they can just release it for you, also you may have a blown fuse (check those first) Clarion keys

i found it easier just to remove the bezel IMO.

Yes, you could remove the entire dash bezel, and release the radio from behind.
