Do you guys and gals know of any good car audio repair shops around here.

I have a 5 year old Kenwood that has had its ribbon power cable break (its one of those models with the rotating faceplate). Its a relatively simple fix, but I don't have the time to do it. I'm looking to spend under $60.

I'm in the La Jolla/Mira Mesa area, but don't mind a short drive to get the work done.

Thanks in advance!

There is a good repair place in Point Loma off of Rosecrans that Tim (mentalcase) recommended me to in the past. Maybe PM him to get the name and address.

I believe the place is called Radioman, its behind Progressive Audio on Rosecrans street. You could also go to Car Audio Heaven on El Cajon Blvd at the corner of Winona. Ask for Gerry and tell him Tim sent you. Or got to SOundiego a half a block west of Car Audio Heaven. Ask for Kim; he's the owner. Hope this helps. PM me if you need further assistance.

Thanks guys.

Soundiego, forwarded me to electrolab (619 563 3517), who said they could do it for $65 with a turnaround time of about 2 days (parts already in stock). Looks like my estimate was pretty right on.

I'll post back with results and quality when I get my unit back.

Finally got it fixed today. Gave it on Monday, got it back on Wednesday (today). $65 was pretty reasonable, seems to work fine, and has a 90 day warranty.

Recommended for future small electrical work.
