Hi where is a good place would be to get a CEL code read for either free or cheap? I live near salinas and im about 40 mins south from morgan hill. I will post the codes when I get them thanks!

You can go to autozone, buy or rent the code reader from them (this is exactly what I did) go out to your car, read the code while you are still in the parking lot, go back in and get your money back. It's the easiest way of doing it.

Or you can buy a cheap but very good reader only from Harbor Freight. IIRC it was $39.95.
It was something like $100 deposit but they gave it back as soon as I gave the tool back to them. I did this on my contour when I read a p0420 code.

At Murray's automotive they are currently selling the Actron 9145 code scanner for $200.00 until the 30th. We usualy sell them for $300.00 I searched and its the best price in the US. I can not even find a better deal on the internet for once...
