I'm wondering where the best Minneapolis-Area speed shops are...
I have used Courtney Truck in Eden Prairie for most mods. Don't let their name fool you, I found them via sho shop. The muffler clinic in St. Louis Park did a great job on my exhaust. Let me know if you want the numbers otherwise they are both in the book.
What mods do you have on your contique? I've been thinking about getting some muffler work done to my '00 SVT- glasspack for the res, dynomaxes to replace the stock mufflers. I'd like to see/hear somebody's car with the mods to see what they turn out like!
Courtney Truck put in my y-pipe, quaife diff, flywheel, pulley and cai (which I have swapped for the KKM).The Muffler Clinic finished up my exhaust. You can check out my car if you are interested in the mods - tell me more about Apple Valley Ford's driving day as I am about a mile away from it.
I don't know too much about the Apple Valley Ford event- check out Ford's SVT website:
http://www.svt.ford.com/track.asp I have e-mailed Apple Valley Ford several times about getting an invite/info to the event, but I haven't heard anything back. I'll remember to give them a call from work one of these days.
How does Courtney Truck handle the mods? Do you buy from SCA/KKM, then have Courtney install the parts, or can Courtney order the parts direct?
I bought my parts and took them to him. I believe he is connected to sho shop and could probably order parts through them.
Well, Speedwerks i have heard has done work on SVT Contours, even if they specialize in imports. A friend of mine has had a lot of work done to his Integra by them, and he's always trying to get me to go. I don't know if they've opened yet in St. Paul, but it's right on University Avenue near Fairview.
They're open, but I don't know what they offer for Contours yet.
