New Gauge Face ! - CEG Archives

The only problem, I have no idea how to install/Wire this on my own!!! Anyone know how??? Maybe you can step me thru it??? Or maybe there is a shop open around the Boston Area I can run to before it gets too late!

where's the tach?

those gauge faces look VERY similar to the ones I have on the cougar.
I have no clue about wiring installs, especially for the dash gauges.
It's possible the audio/electrical forums have some info that you could search.

My car never came with a Tach

I had to have one put in, it's sitting in my room at the moment, when I had my heater coil replaced...havent had the chance to reinstall it...

But thank you I will look in the audio section and search! Then i'll go search for a shop that maybe able to install it...Can you believe this thing came with not one set of instructions!!!

Yup, My car is a Zetec! Hoping to swap in the 2.5 at the end of August

BTW I got the Gauges installed, Lol Beware of the time it takes!!! Took me 2hrs, and 1hr59m was just trying to take off the panels & screws

Took 2 seconds to wire it...I also did a debadging of my trunk...

I'll post pics in the Picture section tomorrow or Saturday if the sunshines.

you'll have better luck swapping the FSVT engine then a 2.5

just take the wires, twist them together and stick them in the cigarette lighter

I'll have to remember that, I thought the original 2.5 just slipped in???

I wired the gauges from my parking Lights hehehe, Not sure if I have enough wire to go to the Lighter...wait a min. is that even safe ?!?!?!

from what I understand the front subframe is different between the engines. Since the FSVT is a Zetec that should go right in, or at least I think so

Hm, after seaching I did some math, the FSVT engine is a.. 2.1L Engine? Since it is 80hp Per Liter? With the math, Ugh 80*2.13 = 170.4hp....That's not to bad actually! Then I figure with the new cat back and Intake systems, I'll get the 200hp like the original CSVT?
