As most of you know, Elky is getting married in August.
The best man has asked me to invite the guys of CEG to join them for Elky's bachelor party festivities on August 12th.
Originally I was going to just pm a bunch of you, but since the party is no surprise, I'm making one big post instead.
This will be a great opportunity for you all to celebrate with him since he and Jess had to keep their wedding guestlist minimal, and unfortunately could not invite everyone.

Here are the details:

Paintball 12:00 pm - location to be determined. It's a toss up between a place in Lowell vs. one in Bridgewater
Approximate cost per person - $30
Medieval Manner in Boston at 5:00 pm for dinner/drinks
Approximate cost per person - $45
Any other activities afterward will most likely be spur of the moment, decided by the group that night. (trip to the "library" mayhaps...)

You could do one event or both, whatever you're up for.

If you want more info or would like to talk to Heath directly to let him know you're coming and whatnot, then you can contact him by email: hmarsden at ekmail.com (that's his work email).
Pm me if you would also like his cell phone number.

I'll be there!!!!
Posted By: Cobra_dup1 Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 07/07/06 04:33 PM
You will?? I may have to reconsider!!
I won't be there, so that should sweeten the deal somewhat.
I'll be at my boss's bbq with his family and some coworkers.

Nope. Simply requires you teabagg a cake and hand it over with the picture of said teabagg between the cake and the pan; once it's all GOBBELED UP, they will see what they had just eaten!

Is the contacting only for the paintball or should we get in touch about the dinner so they can know how many will be attending?
can't hurt to let him know on whatever you plan to do.
Posted By: Matt R_dup1 Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 07/14/06 03:11 AM
Email sent. And I'll be bringing my personal paintball supplies.

Everything still go?
All is still a go.
Heath should be contacting everyone soon to hammer out the details, especially if people need directions and things like that.

I cannot commit myself to any activities (moving that weekend will do that to you), but perhaps can join in anything spur-of-the-moment in the evening.
Posted By: jd2-98s Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/07/06 03:57 AM
I have to work to 5pm and would end up there at 7pm plus have to work sunday at 6am.... But boobs hmmmm, wonder if I can be sick for 2 days
Posted By: ElKy Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/07/06 12:18 PM
actually ou are not too young.
we arent doing anything that requires you to be over 21.
we are doing paintball and going to the medieval manor.
i made sure that the festivities were going to be under 21 friendly because my brother is only 19.
Posted By: Matt R_dup1 Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/08/06 03:50 AM
So I take it over 21 activites will be available, but not 100%...
Posted By: ElKy Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/08/06 11:56 AM
the medieval manor serves beer but is not 21+
and i think everybody gets a free pitcher with the package my buddy got.
but pitchers are only like $2 anyway.

I talked to Heath (my bestman) last night.
here is the plan for the day.

people from the north and Lowell area are to meet at my house between 9:00-9:30AM Saturday.
we will leave my house by 9:40 to head to my parents house in North Reading.
people in that area are meeting us there by 10:00.
we are then departing my parents house by 10:15 to head to the paintball place in bridgwater.
we have a 12:00 reservation.
we plan on leaving paintball by 3:30 to head up to boston for the manor show at 5:00pm

Matt, i think Heath said he spoke with you and you are going to meet us in Bridgwater, and Jsmith and friend are also meeting us there.

Too bad I have a fractured hand or I would have loved to go paintballing. And its not too far from me either. It would have been fun, but im a moron with a fractured hand.
Posted By: ElKy Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/08/06 04:27 PM
that sucks.

but you are more than welcome to come to dinner if youwant.
Posted By: Cobra_dup1 Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/09/06 11:33 AM
I'm pretty much borrowing everything from my brother and brother-in-law. Man am I going to feel weird. I've never done paintball, but I'll look like a pro with my full military issue camo and billet gun with large capacity CO2!
Posted By: Pre98 Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/09/06 11:55 AM
That does it. I'm moving damnit!
we'll have one extra gun and a couple facemasks for anyone that wants to borrow them.

I hear those places usually make you use their color paint, which is unfortunate because we have a massive bag of paintballs.
Posted By: ElKy Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/09/06 12:19 PM
yeah, heath said that 500 paint balls are included in the package price.

he never replied to my email about whether bringing your own gear saves money or not.
Did he happen to mention that to you?
Posted By: ElKy Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/09/06 01:20 PM
he wasnt sure because he purchased a package dealio thing i think.
but we wont know until we get there i guess.
Posted By: ElKy Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/09/06 01:21 PM
oh yeah..and bring a change of clothes and stuff.
i am not sure what they have there along the lines of a locker room or what have you.
Posted By: Matt R_dup1 Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/09/06 04:13 PM
How about directions to the paintball place??
Posted By: ElKy Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/09/06 07:07 PM
er....
i will work on that.
i think th eplace a website.

email Heath and he can give you the actuall name of the place.

so you're planning on driving all the way out that morning to meet up? How far of a drive will it be for you?

Would you prefer to drive over Friday night and stay overnight? If you're up for the extra drive to our house Friday night, we have a spare room available.
Posted By: ElKy Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/09/06 07:15 PM
yeah thats a good point kimmy.
i am sure someone would let you crash at their place.
like mike and kim
and as always my door is open.
Posted By: JSmith_dup1 Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/09/06 09:29 PM

I'm not going to be able to make it to the party. I got my property tax bill from my town and I almost pooped so now I'm rubbing two pennies together to eek through this month. I'm worried about the alcohol tab at the manor, fuel to get there and back and what ever costs may arise that evening. I'm still going to pay for myself and my friend becasue I said I would go and now at the last minute I need to back out. I was looking forward to going and I feel bad that I cant.

I sent heath an e-mail and told him whats up and that I'm going to still pay for the reservations becasue the party is to support mike and its not fair to everyone else if they need to contribute more.

Posted By: ElKy Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/09/06 10:24 PM
aww dude that sucks that you cant go.

i just heard from a buddy of mine whe went to the medival manor for his bachelor party last week that it isnt too hard to get kicked out.
they didnt even last 10 minutes.
they were having sword fights with tthe bread.
heheh
Posted By: Matt R_dup1 Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/10/06 02:36 AM
I have to work Friday till 7:30pm. I was just planning on driving out Saturday morning, it is about a 3hr 15 min drive, then finding a cheap hotel for Saturday night.

Right now a big problem just popped up: my passenger side wheel bearing was going bad, and tonight it really bit the dust. Like covered the wheel in metal shards. Problem is, the socket to take the lug nuts off my rims is missing, so I can't get the wheel off... so if I can't find it, I won't be able to make it out Saturday.
Posted By: ElKy Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/10/06 01:13 PM
aww man!
well, if you can get it fixed and get out here that would be great.
and if you do come out, you dont need a hotel room for saturday night, you can crash at my place.
Posted By: Matt R_dup1 Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/11/06 04:02 AM
I just found it, so I will be there!! Hopefully the car won't cost much to fix. I just need to get directions to the paintball place before tomorrow night.
Posted By: ElKy Re: Bachelor Party Time! August 12th - 08/11/06 12:17 PM

shoot heath an email, i forgot to ask him last night what the name of the place was.
bah..i will send him an email now asking for th ename.
