I have a Firestone/Bridgestone coupon for 50% off the sugested retail price on a set of rubber. I have found that the RE910's in 225 50 R16 are fairly suitable for what I need. Unless of course you guies think I should go for the RE930's or RE950's. State your thoughts.

Thanks

I bought the 910's. They are very quite, excellent in the rain, and comfortable. They are a little bit squirmy when pushed hard. but track strait. I run about 36-37psi and they work fine. If I had the extra money,i would have gotten the 950's (they only had 2 in stock) but you should be happy with the all around performance. Nice tread design too.

I just swa[[ed my RE940's for the RE 71's both an excellent tire the 940 is a UHPAS and the 71 is a UHP tire - basicly I dropped the all weather capability- (strange as I live in utah and its nearing fall-??) but at 66 each you cant beat the price (940's 123 each)

I'm looking at $125 CAN for the 910's and $160 for the 950's. I think that I might go for the 950's but they are out of stock.

Tire rack has them (950's) for $93 per tire. Not sure if you'll save any after shipping though..

I just put the 950's on my car and I love them. They seem to hug the road and not want to let go, even when the road is wet. I ended up paying $500 out the door for the tires, mounting, balancing, and alignment since it was really out of whack

how much did you end up paying for everything? I was going to go with the 910's but got the 950's for $6/tire more, so I decided to go for it

$579 CAN or approx $370 US. 950's were approx $30 CAN more each.

I work for firestone so I know first hand.
The Potenza RE950's are the best tire in ANY driving condition. I was allowed to beat the piss out of a BMW 325is to test the RE950 against the Michelins that were mentioned above. It was a blind test so we didnt know what tires we were on and there was a VERY big difference from tire to tire. We drove on half worn Michelins, half worn RE950s, and then brand new RE950s. The tire that were the best were believe it or not the half worn RE950s. I personally could believe it but it was true. The RE950's will not let anyone down, and I got video to prove it.

I hope you guys are right on the Bridgestone 950's. Today was SVT open track day for my local SVT dealer[there were 14 Svt Contours] and my original Goodyears finally chunked themselves to death. I drove directly to my tire shop and ordered a set of 225/50/16's,950's. Bridgestone said that if I didn't like them after 30 days,I could get a full refund. Alex
