Ford Escort, imho, joins the contour (especially the 95-97 model) as some of the most uninspired automotive designs to ever grace our shores. Our cars were destined for lives as government fleet vehicles and rent-a-cars. Just when the Mondeo gets some attractive styling, they stop importing it to America. Hopefully this thing works out with the Mercury Mondeo. I am the first in line for the ST Mondeo, should they bring it over. But back to the original point, the wallpaper is nice.

Jerseycat speak for yourself. I love the way my car looks, just because it doesnt have the outrageous styling of some other cars doesnt mean contiques dont look good. If you had such a dispute with the way the contique looks then why do you own one Why dont you just not post if you have such a problem with the cars

ditto...my car does not look like a fleet rental car.

I happen to like the old-body Contours just fine. They don't look like anything else on the road that I'm aware of and the ZX2 has quite distinctive shark-nose on it. I think the styling is great.

And BTW, Escorts have four doors. A ZX2 has two. They are not even called escorts anymore for more reaons than one. To even compare the two is an insult.

i actually like the old style more then the new style. thats why i purchased mine.
